Her lastest book: EVERYTHING IS FIGUREOUTABLE is out now.

In her latest book “Everything is Figureoutable”, she shared some insights and advices in how we live our lives, how belief can change our life tremendously, also how to overcome fear and doing multiple jobs doesn’t necessarily mean you are not good at picking one thing and many more.
Let summarize what her thoughts about life:

‼️First, one of the most important things I found so practical and true, but very few people take the time to contemplate and question themselves which is:

IF SOMETHING IS IMPORTANT, YOU WILL MAKE TIME FOR IT, BUT IF IT’S NOT, YOU WILL MAKE AN EXCUSE.

I stopped for a moment and think about myself, and us. Indeed, if something is so crucial for you, you will do whatever to do that thing, or to make that thing happen, irrespective of what circumstances. For example, even though you know you’re so busy and being buried by your work, but family is important to you, you will MAKE TIME for meeting your family members, calling them to ask about their health, keeping in touch with them once in a while. In other words, you would go extra mile to see them despite of your busyness.

A lot of people just complain too much, they just say “ I don’t have the time to read book, or I don’t have the time to join in that English Club” instead of use their time wisely, they just keep scrolling newsfeeds on FB, doing frivolous stuffs and keep whining about the fact they lack of time. They make an excuse for how busy they are and avoid doing the most crucial things to them. I would argue that even though you work 7 days/week, you still HAVE THE TIME to read books, to travel, to have coffee time with your friends, to create new website, etc. if you put those things on your TOP PRIORITIES LIST.

For instance, if you are swamped with many tasks at work but you want to have time to read, you could schedule time to spending just 10-20 minutes to read your favorite books at the lunch break, or at night before bedtime. It would do the trick in the long-term.

‼️Second, she has the framework of FIGUREOUTABLE RULE OF PLAY:

✅All problems/dreams are figureoutable

✅ If a problem isn’t figureoutable, it’s not a problem; it is fact of life or the law of nature (death, gravity, etc)

I think those 2 ideas are pretty interesting, since with one belief that EVERYTHING IS FIGUREOUTABLE, you can change everything. In some circumstances, you encountered a lot of bad things in life, struggling to make ends meet, having no clues about what you have to do next, everything seems so devastating and gloomy, it is just like you’re in the dark and no one else could see and pull you out of the darkness. You thought there was no the other way around, it would be a dead end for you since you couldn’t change the situation anymore, etc. But at that moment, don’t give in your POWER. The answers for everything lie within you. Even though your problems are unbearable, you don’t have all the resources and energy to solve it, but with enough PATIENCE, DISCIPLINE, HELP from others, TIME and one major BELIEF, you will figure your problems out. There will be always the way for all of us.
Struggling to have a good sleep? Find out the reasons and research more about how to get a better sleep.

Failing to meet the sales target? Dig deeper to find the reasons of why you fail, and make plan to even do better next time.

Still working in the same jobs for many years with no promotions? Find out the reason, reflect on yourself or reassess your skills and knowledge, maybe you could change your attitude or to just quit and find a better job which suits you best.
Everything is figureoutable if you take the time to figure why it happened and how to fix it. Just believe in your ability to do great things in the world.

‼️Third, fear is just a GPS for where our soul wants us to go.

Sometimes, fear is scary and it keeps us from achieving our dreams, of course, fear of tiger is understandable, and you should be scared because that fear will keep you alive, but nowadays, most fear we experienced is just mental-based fear. Something we make up in our own minds and we let them to direct our actions towards our dreams.

Imagine fear is just like a baby, a little puppy that doesn’t have a language skill, so they’re waving us to create a signal for us to that thing because that is important to you. Somehow, you are afraid of public speaking, that is your fear, but despite of the fear, you would do it anyway since public speaking is necessary and helpful to you in many areas of life even though it is scary, and you would jump out of your skin to stand in front of thousands of people, or in a small room with 10 folks.

I personally like the saying of Nike: JUST DO IT. You know the fear is already there, but you do it anyway since when you take action, the momentum will follow you, and you will be less likely to be scary.

One tip from her that I find impressive which is asking yourself a question before you choose to take in that fear or not:

“Does moving forward with this person/ thing make me feel EXPANSIVE or CONTRACTED?”

👉Expansive means you feel the lightness in your chest, you lean over, you chin is lifted, it is your visceral physical response, just watch your body and see how it responds.

👉Contracted means you feel the feeling of dread, the heaviness, you are likely to step back, again, just watch your body and the most important thing is to sit down, close your eyes and really tune into what your body is saying.
